This is a nice set. Large plate! Small one is good for snacks and desserts. Or even a spoon rest. There's something relaxing about the colors. Neutral and a bit classy. Only the large dinner plates have the design on the bottom side. Edges turn up slightly. The large plates, bowls and glasses are thick. The small plates are not, but are still firm. You can't twist them. The entire set stack up together. Space saver. Dishwasher safe, makes them easy to use. I really like wheat straw. Someone is always putting plastic in the microwave. This is safe to do that, so I can relax about plastic going into the microwave and releasing unsafe chemicals. That's worth buying these, but better yet, this was a great price for an entire set!
Great set, dishwasher and microwave safe!
So, I only have a 1000 watt microwave, but these plates held up and did not get hot like melamine plates do, so YAY for wheat straw. These little kid-friendly plates are perfect bang for your buck. They fit into a tight space in a cabinet because they can all nest together well, and they are an excellent value for the price point. The big plates do in fact have the pretty design, but none of the other pieces do. They also took a ride in the dishwasher, and held up perfectly, and did not get those infamous white spots from any detergent. Great buy!

I acquired the Homienly 16-piece wheat straw dinnerware set for my son's first apartment, and it’s proven to be an excellent choice. The set cleans easily—everything has gone through the dishwasher multiple times without any issues, and it's great to know it's also microwave safe. What I appreciate is that while the set is unbreakable and practical, it doesn’t look overly utilitarian.
